How Long Does It Take To Fall In Love
How long does it take to fall in love? Who knows? Can anyone really tell you how long it can take for you to fall in love? For some, it might happen in the blink of the eye, and for some, it might not happen, for as long as they live. No one can really ever tell you when love will walk into your life, and how quickly or slowly you will fall in love.
The very first thing that you need to realise and understand is that love is not something you can rush into, and it is most probably just an infatuation if you feel that you are going weak in the knees, the moment you see someone. All said and done, love is a little bit more thought out – you need to understand the person, get to know them a little better, before you can actually decide that this is the person for you.
Anyone who can give you good relationship advice will tell you that there is no time frame for falling in love. And it would be best if you not rush into love – love needs to be given some time. Chances are that if you rush into it, you might end up regretting later on. What would you do, if you met someone, decided in a moment that you are ‘in love’, even took the decision of getting married, but within a few months, realise that this person is so wrong for you.
Love is something you cannot rush; love is something you have to enjoy and allow yourself to slip into really gently. When you find someone that you think you could fall in love with, spend some time getting to know them. Find out what all you both have in common, if there are things you would like to do. It might be a good idea to talk about your past as well, because who knows, the person you think you will love for the rest might have serious problems with your past relationships. If that is the case, then this might not be the prince or princess charming, that you thought they were!
One of the first things you need to do is differentiate between love and infatuation, because if you are considering the latter to be the former, you are in for big trouble. If you are infatuated, you will always be insecure and will always wonder if you are going to lose the one you think you love. However, in true love, there is a sense of certainty – you know that this person is someone you truly love and someone who loves you back just as much. In love, the saying: if you love someone, set them free, if they come back, they are yours for life, if they don’t, they never were yours, holds completely true.
Don’t ask how long does it take to fall in love; rather, ask yourself, how long you want to have this love in your life.
